How to use a proxy SwitchyOmega extensions

Proxy SwitchyOmega is a browser extension designed for switching between proxies in a browser environment. SwitchyOmega was introduced to put an end to constantly browsing proxies by editing proxy settings. After installing this extension on your browser, you only need to add the proxy once and switch anytime from the browser UI.

Just as importantly, SwitchyOmega proxy settings remain within the browser environment and do not affect the system’s proxy settings in any way.

To set up a proxy in SwitchyOmega extension

Open your browser and download SwitchyOmega here.

• You can click Proxy or create a new profile.

• Reserve the protocol HTTP, enter the proxy IP under Server, and enter the port under Port.

• If you use IP-based authentication, you can go directly to the next step. Using user-based authentication, you can click the lock icon on the right, enter your username/password and click Save Changes.

• You can add websites that you do not want the proxy to use. This can be added to the bypass list. You can leave this field blank if you want to use a proxy for all sites.

• Now click Apply Changes.

• You can now open a new tab, click on the Proxy SwitchyOmega extension and then click Proxy. You can disable the proxy by selecting [Direct].
